With yet another jolt to the equity market the Wall Street's most reputed financial firms, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., headed towards their demise. Lehman Brother Holding Inc. early this morning have filed for bankruptcy and on the other hand sale of Merrill Lynch & Co. to Bank of America. The reason why these firm are at this dire situation of ceasing there existence is the same reason once they witnessed growth, the evil of all for the financial market crises ‘Cheap and bad mortgage loans’ The bubble of which have already consumed Bear Stearn Cos. What is Watermark?

So what is Watermark and why did I use it for the name of my blog. Well let me first define watermark “A watermark is a recognizable image or pattern in paper that shows in various shades of lightness/darkness when viewed by transmitted light (or when viewed by reflected light, atop a dark background), caused by thickness variations in the paper”. It is generally used as a symbol and depicts the logo of the concern. One remarkable fact of the watermark is, it is clear when u try to look at it with different angles in light and this is what similar to my blog. India from the beginning of the year has been in the news for various events that has marked the period some of them have made a deep mark in the Indian corporate world, Sensex witnessing an all time high touching 21K mark in Jan to a free fall in May. Not only India but with the start of this year many developed and developing counties have noted down various events which would be a lesson to learn for the future generations to come.
